An Introduction to the Founder
of Purpose & Peace Solutions

Janeen Davis, PsyD, MFT, has served overseas in a large global ministry since 2007, where she led a Member  Care team in providing care and support for personnel throughout Asia whenever they experienced personal struggles, difficult team dynamics, and family needs.

In 2020, Covid forced her to evacuate her Asian home and transition back to the States, where she now  partners with Peace Pursuit International as a Master Practitioner and Trainer and serves as the Director of Counseling for a church in TN. She founded Purpose & Peace Solutions to be a center point for specialized  ministry services, through which she provides executive consulting, conference presentations, group trainings, creative development of media and marketing resources, and also offers virtual care for missionaries and Christ followers around the world.

After studying music and education at the University of Iowa, Dr. Davis first moved to Nashville over 20 years ago. She began with overlapping careers in Christian music and technology before discovering a passion for missions and member care. In 2007, she moved to Asia, where she ministered in remote areas for 2 years and was transformed in her understanding and love for God.

Upon returning from Asia, Dr. Davis obtained master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, which included a professional clinical internship at Vanderbilt University and a practicum in wilderness therapy, treating high risk adolescents in remote areas of Oregon. During the following years, she went on to study at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Malaysian Baptist Theological Seminary while practicing in Asia as a clinical therapist and pastoral counselor. She completed 5 additional years in graduate education to receive her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with specialized research in organizational psychology and relational conflict.

Dr. Davis served as a Member Care Consultant for individuals, families, and teams living throughout Asia for nearly 10 years, including 4 years of leading and supervising a team of pastoral and clinical counselors and psychologists. She specializes in conflict resolution, leadership, clinical treatment of anxiety and panic disorders, anger, adolescent struggles, isolation, identity and spiritual questions, women’s issues, and cross-cultural stress.  In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted an unplanned transition from Asia to a new stage of life and ministry based in Tennessee.

In 2021, Dr. Davis partnered with the creators of Peace Pursuit to help launch Peace Pursuit International, where she ministers as Master Trainer and Practitioner, develops training resources, and manages creative projects. She also serves as the Director of Lighthouse Counseling Ministry for East Maryville Baptist Church, providing Biblical care and support to local communities in East Tennessee, and she partnered with Belmont University during a 1-year ministry residency. Dr. Davis remains passionate about ongoing research in conflict psychology and produces a variety of digital content and resources to help individuals and organizations grow in their own understanding and experience of purpose and peace.

Dr. Davis provides short-term or ongoing support for individuals and organizations who wish to receive consulting, coaching, training, conferences and retreats, Member Care counseling, and guidance, toward goals of: healthy team dynamics; improved leadership skills; team building; internal, personal, and relational wellness; growth in self-awareness, insight, and understanding; maintaining positive relationships and conflict resolution; and navigating the full range of life challenges that Christians face.
